About Flags for Heroes

In 2020, 3 Rotary Clubs started our mission to display American flags to honor the heroes of the members of our community during the pandemic. This year our club is hosting their own initiative to continue to honor Veterans, current military, first responders, frontline healthcare workers, family, friends, and strangers who have touched our lives and been an inspiration to us all. Individual Sponsorship
$55

Sponsorship includes one of our 3′ x 5′ American flags that is mounted on a 10′ pole in the Smithfield field of honor at Johnston Community College. The flag will have a commemorative medallion that lists your name and the name of your hero. At the end of the display, you keep the medallion.

Corporate Silver

$250

Sponsorship includes three of our 3′ x 5′ American flags that is mounted on a 10′ pole in the Smithfield field of honor at Johnston Community College. Flags will have a commemorative medallion that lists your name and the name of your hero. At the end of the display, you keep the medallions. Your name is also listed on our website on the sponsor’s page, listed on social media posts, and on our sponsor’s banner that is displayed during the entire flag display.

Corporate Gold $500

Sponsorship includes six of our 3′ x 5′ American flags that is mounted on a 10′ pole in the Smithfield field of honor at Johnston Community College. Flags will have a commemorative medallion that lists your name and the name of your hero. At the end of the display, you keep the medallions. Your name is also listed on our website on the sponsor’s page, and listed on social media posts. Your logo will be on our sponsor’s banner that is displayed during the entire flag display.

Corporate Platinum $1000

Sponsorship includes twelve of our 3′ x 5′ American flags that is mounted on a 10′ pole in the Smithfield field of honor at Johnston Community College. Flags will have a commemorative medallion that lists your name and the name of your hero. At the end of the display, you keep the medallions. Your name will be listed on social media posts, your logo will be on our website on the sponsor’s page linked to your website, and will be headlining our sponsor banner during the entire flag display.

Proceeds from flag sponsorships benefit Launch JOCO, an entrepreneurship program for the underserved in Johnston County; as well as Rotary youth programs including scholarship and leadership programs.

Below is a picture of our club presenting a check for $4000 to Launch JoCo a collaborative effort between our club and community partners including the Triangle East and Clayton Chambers of Commerce and Johnston Community College. Also pictured are student scholarship presentations our club has funded over $100,000 in scholarships over the years, as well as an annual collaborative welcome breakfast for the beginning teachers of Johnston County Public Schools.
